The definition of personal data

ADELTO will consolidate all available purchase, delivery and contract data for purposes of delivery arrangements, warranty provision and accountancy compliance requirements. In case of job applications, ADELTO will file all provided information for the purpose of candidate selection.
The legal basis for this collection and processing is the performance of a contract between you and ADELTO and/or taking steps, at your request, to potentially enter into such a contract. In certain cases, it may also be the protection of vital customer interests, like provision of warranty.
- Information we receive from 3rd parties for which you have provided explicit or implicit consent to publication and/or sharing. This includes trade show visits to applicable trade shows of ADELTO’s scope of business where the trade show organizer has received consent for publication of your data, or printed/online trade publications applicable to ADELTO’s scope of business who have obtained your consent for publication of your data. ADELTO may collect your contact information, which includes name, address, email address, website, phone number, fax number, company name, professional position, company business portfolio.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest as a manufacturer to conduct and improve our business by providing information about products and services to potential ongoing customers. As such, storage and processing is strictly limited to data of B2B contacts, of which we have assessed by reasonable review that an ongoing interest in the information provided by ADELTO can be assumed and that no negative impact on the contact will occur.
- Information we collect about you with regard to each of your visits to our Site. We will automatically collect the following information: (a) Technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information if any, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform. We may also give your personal data to the following third parties, for the purposes described below:
- External service suppliers that we hire to provide services, like carrying out marketing initiatives or conducting surveys with customers on our behalf.
- Third parties to which we give data on the use of the website (but not personal data) so they know you have visited our websites. This refers for example to cookies and other ways of collecting website data.
Only for contract-related issues:

Storage location of personal data, transfer to outside the EEA
All data we keep about you is stored in either of the following locations:
- Our on-site computing systems in Asia, namely in China and Hong Kong.
- On-site computing systems inside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) of other companies in our group, namely ADELTO Technologies Ltd., Unit 2 Springfield Road, Springfield Industrial Estate, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex CM08UA, England. These companies adopt the same privacy policy as set forth herewith.
- Off-site computing systems of our service providers outside of the European Economic Area (‘EEA’). This only refers to computing systems operated by non-EEA providers of cloud business software and payment processing systems and hence is strictly limited to contract-related data.
- Off-site computing systems of our service providers inside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’). This only refers to email marketing campaign data.
Your data will hence possibly be sent to the above specified locations and be processed by staff operating in such location who work for us or for one of our service providers. This includes staff engaged in, among other things, the fulfillment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support or marketing services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.
ADELTO will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Where your personal data is transferred outside of the EEA, we will ensure that either (a) the European commission has made an “adequacy decision” with respect to the data protection laws of the country to which it is transferred, or (b) we have entered into a suitable data processing agreement with the third party situated in that country to ensure the adequate protection of your data in compliance with the GDPR, or (c) we have otherwise obtained sufficient assurance that the third party situated in that country ensures adequate protection of your data in compliance with the GDPR.

We securely store information in our systems and are committed to keeping your data secure. Our security measures include:

- The right to access: You have the right to ask us to confirm whether or not we process your personal data and, to have access to the personal data, and any additional information.
